Ryan, Heidi and I went to Olympic national park and looked at some big trees. These trees were not unlike those in our backyards in Glacier, WA. However, now I can say that I have seen a temperate rain forest...whatever. More interestingly, this is the part of the trip where Heidi and I start making each other climb into holes.
Heidi and I tried out some new facial hair looks.
This is what the set-up looked like...I took this picture because Doug would have taken it if he were there. I think it is pretty dope.
Enter, the next thematic element of the road trip...photoshoots. Once I get the DeLorean up and running again I'm going to go back to Y2K and make this my senior picture.
Although the trees were fun, it was time to "peace off" as they say in the middle east.
And with that, Heidi and I set off for our first and, dare I say, most important mission...
Viewing the Goonies house in Astoria, OR. Then we went to a diner. I ate a delicious sandwich with fried oysters and bacon on it. I was so excited about the whole production that afterwards I turned into a zombie.
Heidi used her master navigational skills to locate a "secret" camping spot that she had never been to. I swear her brain has GPS. Later we found out that basically everyone knew about said camping spot: t-bone, laura, laura's dad, etc. But it was way cool at the time, you had to be there I guess.
